„Science Suisse“ is an exhibition on researchers working in Switzerland. Excellent research was the key criterion to be portrayed in the exhibition. At the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Shanghai Branch, 16 portraits of “brilliant minds” are presented. The portraits present research and achievements in a wide variety of disciplines ranging from astrophysics, geology, medicine, and robotics to art history and philosophy.

Prof. Dr. Rolf Pfeifer was invited as key note speaker to open the exhibition, accompanied by humanoid robot Cronos.

Although humanoid robot Cronos fell off the table and broke one bone before the exhibition started, engineer Rob Knight was able to repair it on the spot. The setup of Cronos proofed to be highly resistant, compliant and adaptive.
